First Prototype Release! Hi all, I made an early prototype of the game I've been thinking about. The general concept is that you're a character that has a power/ability that lets them freeze and unfreeze particles of "stuff." There are blocks of frozen "stuff" that break apart into particles when unfrozen. This is what I'm testing right now. Eventually, you would be able to suck up enough particles to create a block that you could then place. I have lots of ideas of what could be done with these mechanics and am thinking it will be a puzzle platformer. The prototype is very rough just to see if moving around and interacting with the blocks and particles is fun enough to develop into a full game. The number in the top right is the framerate. The higher the better. Performance drops when there are too many particles flying around. There are a bunch of different kinds of blocks whose particles behave in various weird ways. The different blocks don't necessarily look different from each other because I haven't spent much time on the visual design, so try them all out. All blocks can be unfrozen/destroyed as long as you have direct line of sight, so you can't get stuck. If you end up in a falling loop of the frame rate seems to permanently tank, just click the reset button. The ? button shows the controls. You can double-jump, wall-slide, and wall-jump.
